"Recalling the impact that Lambert, Hendricks & Ross had on French swing music back in the ‘50s, bandleader Claude Tissendier decided to recreate that big band vocal sound with Michelle Hendricks, a Parisian jazz singer and Jon Hendricks’ daughter, and Marc Thomas, a vocalist with Claude Bolling’s Big Band. The Basie tribute CD recalls all of the original excitement that Basie inspired when he first toured Europe back in 1954."
