“A very enjoyable set of cool modern blues” by Blues & Rhythm

Singer, guitarist and harmonica player Benoît Blue Boy has been recording since 1978 (including an album which featured Freddie Roulette) and here he teams up with his fellow countryman, singer and guitarist Franck Goldwasser – better known to readers maybe as Paris Slim, West Coast blues scene habitué and sometime Delta Groove recording artist – for a very enjoyable set of cool modern blues, down-home sounds, good rocking items and some less easily classifiable bluesy numbers (though ‘Coupes De Boules’ recalls The Rolling Stones of the early ‘70s) – all in French. Benoît wrote and sings most of the songs, with Franck providing some composing and vocal input and lots of distinctive guitar work. Not the usual blues album then, but certainly different and very entertaining.
