Les Pommes de ma douche est un quintet swing irrésistible qui, pour le plus grand plaisir d’un public toujours plus fidèle et nombreux, prend malin plaisir à arranger en jazz manouche les airs savoureux de l’âge d’or de la chanson française. Ils invoquent sur cet album l’âme des Trenet, Gainsbourg, Vian, Barbara, ces chansonniers mélodistes qui ont légué des grands airs populaires à notre répertoire et s’approprient ces musiques avec tendresse et justesse. Sous l’œil bienveillant de ces poètes disparus, voici une séance de spiritisme dans laquelle corps (rythmique métronomique) et esprit (solos aériens) sont bien là, pour un swing tout en légèreté et finesse… Les Pommes au sommet de leur art !
